Walks and talks

DNAire is all about celebrating the natural and built heritage of our river.  We want to connect people to the rich heritage of the blue thread running through all of our communities.

DNAire will enable us to get more people out enjoying their river and the wonder it can bring into their lives.  Join us for a stroll along the river banks in the hope of catching the flash of a diving kingfisher or a glimpse of an otter.

Together with local history and naturalist groups we want to share the heritage of our river in a series of guided walks and family activities. Whether its downloading one from our website or joining one of our volunteers leading one we want to help you discover this fantastic landscape on your doorstep.

We’ve chosen our ten favourite spots on the river and called the Focus Points.  At each our ten Focus Points we will be creating a walk to allow you to explore with us.  Each Focus Point has been chosen because we feel the natural, built and cultural heritages meet and create something really special.

Around each Focus Point we aim to deliver loads of volunteering opportunities, public events and work with local schools.  Don’t worry if you’re not on list I’m sure we’ll find time to visit you in the three years of the project.
